Royal Society of Edinburgh

The Fulbright Royal Society of Edinburgh Award allows UK academics and professionals with a clear connection to Scotland undertake lecturing and/or research in any discipline at any accredited US university.

This Award is generously supported by the , Scotland's National Academy. The RSE contributes to the social, cultural and economic wellbeing of Scotland through the advancement of learning and useful knowledge.

The grant covers any appropriate three-month project in one of the Royal Society of Edinburgh’s chosen research themes. This year the research themes are:

  • Climate Change & Environmental Sustainability
  • Economic Prosperity
  • Social Cohesion and Inclusion

Grant amount

  • $5,000 per month

This is intended as a contribution towards any institutional fees and accommodation & maintenance costs while in the USA.
